How the Process Works

Check out our step-by-step application guide. The application process starts roughly one year before you begin your studies.

Once you've completed these steps, all you have to do is wait to receive an admission decision.

1. Narrow Down Your Program ChoicesYou can apply to up to three faculties or direct-entry programs.

2. Submit Your Application on the OUACUse the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) to apply to Western.

3. Create Your Student Center AccountCheck the status of your application and review your To Do List.

4. Note Your DeadlinesComplete your application and supplemental requirements by the deadlines.

5. Submit GradesWe use your grades to evaluate your application.

6. Submit Supplementary FormsSome programs require additional forms, portfolios, assessments or auditions.
