Western has introduced an effective way for you to track your application and its progress. You can log-in to your Student Center to view your letters and other communications from Western.
Communications regarding your application will be posted in the “Admissions” section of your Student Center, in the “My Applications” chart. By clicking on the link “View Letters,” you will be able to view all of your letters electronically and print a copy for your records. It is important to read each of your letters as they will include important information regarding your application.
If the Admissions Office requires documents from you in order to assess your admissibility to Western, the request will be noted in the “What’s Missing” section of the “My Applications” chart; click on each “To Do Item” to view specific submission details including links for online forms, uploading instructions as applicable and mailing address. This information is also available in the “To Do List” located on the right hand side of the page. Be sure to click on “details” for more information on the items on your “To Do List” and note the documents listed as “Required” under “Item Status.”
Once you have submitted the required documentation, and it has been processed by Western (please allow sufficient time) the document’s status will be updated to indicate “Received.”
Although we will notify you by email to check the Student Center for updates, it is your responsibility to log-in regularly to ensure that you are up-to-date on the status of your application, documentation requests and the status of the receipt of those documents in the Admissions Office on Main Campus.
Step 1: Obtain your Western Access Code
Have your Western Student Number (provided in your Acknowledgement email), and your Ontario Universities’ Application Center (OUAC) reference number (2017 - XXXXXX) available.

Step 2: Activate your Western Identity
Activate your Western Identify by using your Access Code (obtained in Step 1) and your Western Student Number.

Step 3: Access your Student Center information and Western email
You should now have your User ID and password which are required for logging in to your Student Center and Western email account.
Visit student.uwo.ca, input the information required and click "Sign In." View your application information and other important material online.
Tips and Troubleshooting
Ensure that your pop-up box feature is configured to allow all pop-ups from Western. If you experience difficulty with this process, please contact Student Central via email at email@example.com or by telephone at 519.661.2100.
The email address provided on your OUAC application will be used to communicate important information throughout the application process. Your email address should be maintained as an active personal (unique) email. If the email you provided is not a personal/unique email address, we cannot guarantee that you will receive critical and timely communications from us. Please add the Western University internet domain “@uwo.ca” to your email provider’s “safe senders” list. This will help ensure that your email provider does not send our important messages to your junk mail or spam folders.
Your Western Student Number was sent to you via email by Western after we received your application. The email was called “Your Western Next Steps.”
