Welcome Centre & Tours
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. | 12 – 12:30 p.m.
Atrium, Talbot College
Tours will depart frequently from the atrium. Coffee and refreshments will be available.

Information Session
10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Admissions staff, faculty members and Students' Council representatives will be on-hand to answer questions after the presentation.

Clarinet

Dr. Jana Starling will be available to answer your questions about clarinet studies at Western.

Trumpets

Aaron Hodgson will be available to work with students and talk about brass studies at Western.

Percussion
12 – 1 p.m.
Percussion Suite (room 25), Music Building 
The percussion studio, led by Dr.
Jill Ball, will present an informal and interactive session for prospective students.

Flute
1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Studio 242, Music Building 
Introduction and performance by our Flute instructors Anne Thompson, Sharon Kahan Stephen Tam. They will speak about audition prep and talk about life in the flute studio at Western and opportunities for students here. We will have a masterclass style demonstration with two of our flute students as well as a Question and Answer period. Our flute instructors will be available to give mini-lessons at the end of this session (bring your flute if you would like a lesson).

Piano
1:30 – 3 p.m.
Room 254, Music building 
Prospective piano students have the opportunity to talk with some of our piano professors, hear some of our piano students perform and have an open discussion with them. There will be limited number of slots mini-lessons with our professors. Contact Sasha Gorbasew for a mini lesson time slot

Composition
1:30 – 2 p.m.
Room 140, Music Building
Dr. David Myska will be available to talk to prospective students about composition studies at Western.

Saxophone
1:30 – 3 p.m.
Professor Bobbi Thompson will be available to give a limited number of mini-lessons or just a one on one meeting with prospective saxophone students. Please contact Sasha Gorbasew agorbase@uwo.ca to arrange a time slot.

Oboe
1:30 – 3 p.m.
Professor Shelley Heron will be available to give a limited number of mini-lessons or just a one on one meeting with prospective oboe students. Please contact Sasha Gorbasew agorbase@uwo.ca to arrange a time slot.

Popular Music Studies
2 – 3 p.m.
Room 345A, Talbot College
Dr. Jay Hodgson will speak about the BA Popular Music Studies major at Western, including some of the unique aspects of the program, and he will demonstrate a few features of the Popular Music lab.

Voice/Opera
2 – 4 p.m.
Room 27, Music Building 
Professor Theodore Baerg and singers will present a masterclass and demonstration. A limited number of spots will be available for prospective students to sing in this masterclass. Please contact Sasha Gorbasew
