If you have applied to Western...
If you have applied to Western, you will receive an Acknowledgement Email from the admissions office. This email will provide you with your Western Student ID and give you step-by-step instructions on how to activate your Western Identity. Once your Western Identity is activated you will be able to log in to the Student Center where you will find information on what transcripts, grade reports and other documents we may need in order to make an admissions decision.
If you are having difficulty activating your Western Identity, you may be interested in watching a video tutorial that will visually guide you through the process. To view this tutorial, please go to: http://www.uwo.ca/its/identity/activation.html
After you receive the email and have logged in to the Student Center:
- View all of the electronic letters and read through
exactly what documents are requested in your “To Do” list.
- Contact the schools listed to request that official transcripts be sent directly to our office from the issuing institution. (If possible, please have your school(s) include an Admissions Routing Slip.) Some applicants may be able to either self-report their grades or have their school submit predicted scores electronically. If this is a possibility for you, this information will be included in your “To Do” list of required documents.
Note: Documents take at least a few days to be processed by our office, even if sent electronically. If the documents have been mailed, or are coming from overseas, the wait time will be longer.
Documents must be sent to:
Undergraduate Admissions
The University of Western Ontario
Western Student Services Building
London, ON N6A 3K7
- Prepare the requested forms and make arrangements for any other evaluations (such as an English Proficiency Test or SAT, etc.) required by the Admissions Office.
- Check your Student Center Account to see when the requested material arrives. When we have received and processed your documents the item will disappear from your “To Do” list.
- Check your Student Center regularly to see when an admission decision is posted.
- The Admissions Office will also send you correspondence via mail to let you know if you have been admitted.
