We like to use the acronym PLACE to help you reflect on your strengths, goals and sources of joy.

P is for Passions

Ask yourself:

What am I passionate about?
Who am I outside the classroom?
What activities give me purpose and motivate me to excel?

L is for Location

Ask yourself:

What is important to you in a city?
Do you want to be close to home or further away?
What is important to you in a campus? Would you like it to be big or small?

A is for Academics

Ask yourself:

Does the school have the program for me and flexibility to explore?
What are the admission requirements?
What is it like to learn at the university and what will classes be like?

C is for Community

Ask yourself:

Will I fit in? Will I make friends right away?
How will I be involved?
How will I be supported when I need help?
Will I thrive?

E is for Experience

Will I be able to develop career-related skills?
What opportunities will I have to try new things?
