You applied to Western University on the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) and received an offer of admission from Western International College.

Your academic record is best suited to International Year One at WesternIC. You will start your courses in your chosen academic area and build your academic skills and confidence in a supportive learning environment.

Every course at WesternIC is delivered by Western University instructors. And when you complete your International Year One at WesternIC, you progress directly into Year Two at Western.

What to expect if you receive an alternate offer

Your next steps will be different depending on if you have an offer of admission to Western University or Western International College. Follow the steps that apply to you below.

Western to WesternIC

1 Accept your offer Say yes on the OUAC.

Accept your offer of admission by logging in to the Ontario Universities' Application Centre and follow all the steps. You’ll receive a confirmation number so you know you've accepted successfully. Save this number for your reference!

You need to accept your offer by the deadline listed in your Offer Letter, which you can find in your Student Center at student.uwo.ca.

2 Pay your tuition deposit. Reserve your place.

Pay your tuition deposit to WesternIC to save your spot. International payments are simple through WesternIC's Payment Portal.

3 Apply for your study permit Get a permit to study in Canada.

All international students studying at Western for six months or more must hold a valid study permit. If you are not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, you will need to apply for a study permit before you arrive in Canada.

Letter of Acceptance

You need a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to apply for your study permit. It will be provided by WesternIC once you accept your offer and make payment.

Provincial Attestation Letter

You may need a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) to apply for your study permit. It will be provided by WesternIC once you accept your offer and make payment, if applicable.

4 Meet your admission conditions Keep your offer.

Review the conditions of your offer of admission in your Offer Letter, which you can find in your Student Center at student.uwo.ca. You need to meet these conditions to keep your spot at Western.

Confirm your place at Western. Log in to your Choose Western Offer Portal at choose.uwo.ca to accept your offer of admission. You must accept by the deadline listed on your Choose Portal.
