Once we’ve reactivated your account, contact your Academic Counselling Office for help with next steps.
You may need to reapply through OUAC. Email us at welcome@uwo.ca and tell us about your studies since leaving Western – we’ll let you know if you need to reapply!
Ready to return after a withdrawal for unsatisfactory academic standing? Here's how to apply.
Step 1: Apply on the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC)
Apply on the OUAC. It’s always important to apply before your deadline, but you should apply as soon as possible.
You need to withdraw for one year, but don’t wait for the full 12 months before applying. Aim to apply by the end of February, spaces in programs may fill after that.
Step 2: Complete the Reconsideration of Admission Form
This is your opportunity to prove to the admissions committee you’re ready to return as a student. We want you to be successful. So, we need to know the steps you’ve taken to ensure your success, and what’s changed from when you were previously a student at Western.

Step 3: Submit your Supporting Documents
After we receive your application, we will let you know what documents you need and how to submit them on your Student Center To Do List.
We'll ask you to resubmit your documents if you don't send us what we asked for, or if you send it in a different way than what we asked for. To avoid delays, make sure you follow the instructions on your Student Center!
