Computer science student Aakarsh Garg turned aspiration into a promising enterprise in under two years at Western’s Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship. With its comprehensive support system, including training and resources for student entrepreneurs, Garg launched Sylvara, a plant-care startup.
Garg credits the personal development series led by Western alum Sunday Ajak, BA’23, with helping him advance essential skills for success as an entrepreneur. Four workshops covering self-awareness, communication, team work and public speaking had a profound impact on him.
