Education

Teachers are integral professionals in our community who help children and youth reach their potential. Ready for a fast-paced, challenging and fulfilling career? You’re in the right place.

Western University’s Teacher Education program combines academic study with extensive school-based experience to prepare future educators for success in today’s classrooms. Our 12-month program begins each September and follows the rhythm of the school year, allowing you to develop practical teaching skills while building strong professional connections. The program combines in-person coursework with school-based practicum experiences in the first two terms, followed by online coursework in the third term.

We have three programs:

• Primary/Junior – Kindergarten to Grade 6
• Junior/Intermediate - Grades 4 to 10
• Intermediate/Senior - Grades 7 to 12
