DAN Management & Organizational Studies
Business as a Social Science
Humans and data — that’s how our enterprises run. Want to find economies of scale for a start-up or motivate donors for a nonprofit? You need analytical skills and organizational insight.
Graduate from Western with a bachelor of management and organizational studies (BMOS), and you’re ready to run the interface between human enterprises and our data.
Management is about people. We take an evidence-based approach to the human factors of enterprise: consumer behavior, compensation structures, ethical paths.
Accountants crunch the numbers for organizations run by and for (you guessed it) people. Financial advisors interpret client goals within the context of shifting markets. Marketers blend data and empathy to motivate consumers. It’s all about data, humans and what we’re trying to do within a given organization.
