Campus Walking Tours | 9AM – 3PM

Lobby, Western Student Services Building

One of our knowledgeable guides will take you on a walking tour around the core of campus. Get a feel for what life is really like as a Western student while taking in the campus’ beautiful landscape and buildings. Tours will be departing on the hour and the half hour. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes.

Campus Bus Tours | 9AM – 4PM

Multiple Bus Tour Stops Across Campus

If you are interested in seeing our campus from corner to corner, we recommend you join us for a guided campus bus tour. All buses are staffed by one of our knowledgeable tour guides.

Stay on the bus for a complete tour, lasting approximately 50 minutes, or hop on and off the bus at your leisure. If you choose to get off the bus along the route, another bus will be around shortly to pick you up again. Buses can also drop you off near your parking lot at the end of the day.

Residence Tours | 9AM – 4PM

Clare Hall, Delaware Hall, Elgin Hall, Essex Hall, Medway-Sydenham Hall, Ontario Hall, Saugeen-Maitland Hall

Guest tours are available in seven different residences (covering traditional-, suite-, and hybrid-styles). Our students and staff look forward to showing you these housing options and answering any questions you may have.

Indigenous Student Centre Tours | 9AM - 4PM

Room 2100, Western Student Services Building

The Indigenous Student Centre (ISC) is a vital space that acts as a central focus for Indigenous students to gather and find a sense of belonging within the larger institution. Visit us to tour the space and learn about the supports available including a computer lab, kitchen with fresh groceries, traditional medicines (with smudge always available) and free telephone, fax and printing.

Western Student Recreation Centre Tours | 9:30AM - 4PM

Lobby, Western Student Recreation Centre

The Western Student Recreation Centre is home to Campus Recreation. Friendly staff are eager to provide you with tours of this amazing facility, with close to 166,500 square feet of space over four floors. Tours will last approximately 20 minutes and will give you a chance to learn about the facilities, programs and services that Campus Recreation operates in the Centre.

Self-Guided Library Tours | 10AM - 3PM

D. B. Weldon Library

The D.B. Weldon library is located at the center of the campus and forms the heart of student life at the University. It is a focal point across campus offering access to recently modernized facilities, diverse and modular study spaces, accessible services, and world class print and digital collections. We support student study and research by providing training and specialized services to see you succeed in your academic career.

Please join us at the library for self-guided tours which will be offered from 10AM – 3PM with goodies at the welcome table! Drop by and say hello, meet our staff and learn about our library!

Self-Guided McIntosh Gallery Tours | 9AM – 4PM

McIntosh Gallery

McIntosh Gallery is your gateway to art on campus. Centrally located between the Social Science Centre and the Physics and Astronomy Building, McIntosh Gallery presents a mix of contemporary and collection-based work, in up to four exhibitions each year. Learn more about our current exhibitions.

McIntosh Gallery programming is always free and open to the public. Come learn more about how the gallery supports wellness, cross-disciplinary learning and engagement!

ArtShare Tours | 11AM & 1PM

John Labatt Visual Arts Centre

Join us at the John Labatt Visual Arts Centre for two engaging 30-minute tours of the ArtShare program artworks, offered at 11AM and 1PM. These guided tours explore the legacy of the artists and professors whose work and teaching have shaped the Visual Arts Faculty at Western University.

Discover how generations of creative leaders have influenced the school’s identity, contributed to its vibrant community and left a lasting mark through the artworks installed throughout the building. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the history, stories and artistic vision that continue to define Visual Arts at Western.
